The transfer window is heating up for Fran Garcia! Thanks to his solid performances at the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid, the Spanish left-back has caught the attention of several European clubs — and one of them is particularly serious.

According to The Athletic, AC Milan is closely monitoring the 25-year-old and sees him as a potential replacement for Theo Hernandez, whose future in Italy remains uncertain.

Back in Madrid, competition for the left-back position is intensifying. Real recently signed Álvaro Carreras, a promising young talent who could shake up the current hierarchy. With Ferland Mendy still in the squad and now facing competition from Carreras, Fran Garcia may be pushed further down the pecking order.

A product of Real Madrid’s Castilla, Garcia proved his worth during his time at Rayo Vallecano before returning to the Bernabéu last summer with hopes of securing a permanent role. However, despite some strong showings, consistency and tactical choices from Carlo Ancelotti have limited his game time.

Milan could offer Garcia the opportunity he needs — regular minutes in a top European club in a league where his energy, attacking intent, and dynamism down the left flank would be highly valued.

As of now, no official offer has been made, but this situation could evolve quickly if Milan decides to open negotiations. One thing is clear: with Carreras rising, Mendy holding firm, and Garcia seeking opportunities, Real Madrid might soon part ways with one of its left-backs.
