special USA edition

Mauricio Pochettino was supposed to lead the U.S. Men’s National Team into a new era. So far, he’s only led them into a dead end.
Three matches. Three defeats. A worrying trend. The former PSG, Tottenham, and Chelsea coach, hired with the reputation of a top-tier tactician, has yet to make a positive impact. Worse: doubt is creeping in.

❌ USA 1–2 Türkiye – A failed test on all fronts

Against a solid but beatable Turkish side, the U.S. looked disorganized, timid, and at times, completely absent. On the sideline, Pochettino appeared powerless—almost resigned. Where’s the intensity he promised? Where are the structured passing patterns? What we saw was a team lacking direction, fragile at the back, and toothless in the final third.

❌ USA 1–2 Canada – The neighbors enjoyed themselves

This one hurts. Losing to Canada isn’t a national shame anymore… but it’s not supposed to become routine either. Worse: the Canadians looked more confident, more motivated, and better prepared. The U.S. press was disorganized, the lines too spread out, and several players looked out of breath by the 60th minute. The Pochettino spark? Still missing.

❌ USA 0–1 Panama – One defeat too many?

No goals. Few ideas. And in the end, a loss against a team that should have been well within reach. The squad played cautiously, almost as if they didn’t believe in the plan anymore. That may be the most worrying part: a sense of confusion and lack of conviction that now seems to affect the players… and the fans.

🧠 Too much tactics, not enough heart?

Pochettino is undoubtedly a smart coach. But is he trying to do too much, too soon? Some key players are reportedly confused by overly complex instructions. Others are being played out of position. Meanwhile, there’s no sign of chemistry, and confidence is quickly fading.

⏳ An alarm, not yet a verdict

Let’s be clear: it’s still early. Three matches don’t define a coaching era. But with the Copa América approaching and the 2026 World Cup on home soil inching closer, the U.S. can’t afford a long period of uncertainty.

Pochettino was hired to build something great. He has the ability. But he urgently needs to rebuild his players’ confidence, find a consistent starting XI… and most importantly, start winning. Because American fans? They’re done waiting.

🇺🇸 USMNT, it’s time to stand up. The moment is now.
